Wow are those older versions of the H-6? That would explain why they look like flying coal mines :/

But none of the other videos or pictures of the H-6K show them spewing out that much smoke even at low altitudes...
A wild guess would be 30-40. That's a wild guess. Regarding the engines, hard to tell, unless the PLAAF declassify it.
It's mostly because they're flying at low altitude, the engines aren't as efficient I think.
Even some modern commercial airliners still produce visible smoke at low altitude. Certainly, military aircraft do. B-52 is infamous for it.
There's less smoke at higher altitudes of operation.
