asif iqbal

Lieutenant General
3325, 3326 ordered from Ukraine and delivered to China.
3327, 3328 assembled locally in China (likely) with kits from Ukraine.

3260 first seen in May this year, 3261 in July.

So thats six.

these will be useful for Landing men+ materials on this smaller islands in SCS at short notice

I think China is the only nation on earth who can actually afford to run these beasts

Monty Khanna writes excellent content. One minor addition though. The new PLAN Zubr have further differences beyond placement of the AK630 CIWS. This includes a new mast and mounting of a fire control radar where the older hulls only carried an E/O mast. For what its worth...

Another detail he's got wrong are the engines, the powertrain in Zubr is M-35 (5 DМ-71 gas turbines coupled with reduction gear) produced by Ukrainian Zorya and has nothing to do with NK-12 derivates (2 per ship) which were installed in the previous class 1232 Djeiran (NATO - Aist class).
