Very valuable assets to have

I think there is talk of Russia starting Zubr production line come 2019 or maybe later as they don't have access to systems which were based in Ukraine

4 of these giants can bring 2000 infantry marines to shore in a very short time period

A quick reaction force ready for deployment will give china a advantage over islands on South China Sea

Very crucial in war time or high tensions

Well...that is their fifth isn't it?

I believe they will have at least six, and would not be surprised at all if they built eight of them.

They had two delivered from the Ukraine and got kits for two more to be built in china, a total of four, at huangpu where they build 056 and 054s from which we see a lot of handheld images. They didnt buy any from the greeks so where did more come from. Can anyone provide pics with pennant numbers not already seen? Find it hard to believe that they have more than four, if that many in commission. We can keep a pretty accurate count on everybody else but not these guys that stick out like a sore thumb and are very hard to hide.

The latter two were domestically built from scratch, not from kits. Their construction was slowed to a snail's pace because they were waiting for successful domestic production of gas turbines. If they were built from kits, why were the engine kits not delivered with the rest the Zubrs?

Be that as it may, since the only build them at huangpu, two operational, one still on sea trials and one in the construction hall makes only four. No evidence to support a higher number.

Pennant number 3325 and 3326 means they are only for amphibious use like 3320-3322 and 3330-3332 the 6 x Type 726 LCAC

They will not operate under independent units like 9xx

Most likely remain attached to SSF even in large numbers

4 operational 1 under build 3 more planned

8 units in total could be higher as they have tooled a entire factory to build these

The picture, date unknown, does show a Zubr under construction, could be third or fourth unit. Beyond that is nothing but speculation.
