The model looks like an rc model with the top deck removable to service the inside.

What is the thing where the prop is suppose to be? It looks like the prop melted.

A photo from bing maps from this year. I'm actually not sure when the guy got this or where he got this, because I went to bing map's huludao location and see 2 094s there. The GE photo is still the same from earlier this year, showing one 094 and one 093. So it looks like this one is newer since ice melted. Also, it looks like the the modified 093 has a hump and there is an installation on top of the tail. Or it could just be seeing things not there.

Either way, if the latest bing map picture is up to date, looks like the modified 093 has left the pier.

That same hump can be seen in these pics too, and in these pics it looks like the hull has a larger beam.

The sail doesn't have anything on it and the hump might just be the vents.

On second thought, could the supposed 093B be actually the 095? That would explain why its dimensions are a bit off for the 093B as well.

Here is pic of Type-093 via FAS. No hump visible, and I think that new submarine could be a little bit different shape too. Of course there is possibility that we are just imagining things what are not there.

unlikely, I think type 095 would contain much larger changes. I would think it would contain VLS for cruise missiles along with more powerful everything, which would require a much larger submarine.

But what if they made some last minute changes and went with a very conservative design? What if there were initially two proposals, one for a new design and one for a small 093 upgrade, and went with the latter?
