A PLAN Type 035 SSK has made its way via Singapore to Myanmar. Not clear if this is a visit or handover. Though seems unusual to send an older hull like this on a courtesy visit.

And indeed the 035 (B or G?) was handed over to Myanmar. Remarkable step insofar as the country only a year ago received a Kilo submarine by India as donation. Which clearly was a political effort to distance Myanmar a little bit from China. I guess that didn't work out so well after all.

What's the difference between 035B and 035G? and do we have the pictures of both variants for comparison?

found an article that explains the most obvious difference between 035G and 035B.

Note the front of the sail. 035G has a stepped part, while 035B is totally vertical.
