Re: China's Yu-6 torpedo was reverse-engineered from U.S. Mark 48 heavyweight torpedo
As I have understood from the Russian open sources, under the 211TT1 contract components of the torpedo have been delivered. But not a complete torpedo. Therefore 3 years are very short.
If development was Russian-Chinese, Yu-6 torpedo itself is Chinese torpedo undoubtedly. Because final design, manufacture and tests were, obviously, only Chinese.
About Wiki description. The modern torpedo is very much complex machine. Hundreds enterprises, thousands scientists and engineers participate in its creation . Therefore mention of several scientists in Chinese open sources does not speak anything.
Yu 6 didn't enter service until 2005 So your time span is off by 3 years way too long .
The Wiki description is very detail It name person in charge, where they work time span so it most likely translation from Chinese open sources and very convincing .Your sources is nothing but guess and no detail whatsoever
