PLAN Torpedos

No, the Yu-8 at this stage is only known to be used from the H/AKJ-16. We have not seen any imagery suggesting a rocket launched torpedo is in use with UVLS on any platform.

I suspect PLAN will want to keep UVLS clear for air defence, antiship and land-attack ordnance, but this is my own speculation. Type 052D and 055 can still perform ASW via embarked helicopters or in self defence using their deck-mounted launchers.
It would be rather weird for PLAN destroyers to lack a stand-off ASW rocket.

It is far more plausible to assume that such a weapon/capability exists and simply hasn't been shown in public yet.

Maybe. But I fail to see why it would be weird, considering their operational priorities. Furthermore we seem to get imagery even of relatively bespoke systems like YJ-20 getting launched from 055, in addition to the established YJ-18 and HHQ-9 shots. Yet a comparably pedestrian thing like an ASROC type capability escapes attention? That seems a little implausible to me.

TBH I wouldn't be surprised if UVLS would have a VLA type weapon developed for it as well, simply for completion and for having a standoff organic ASW weapon to a ship.

YJ-20 was a rather unique case imo, and we've only seen it once.

I wouldn't be surprised if there are plentiful weapons we haven't seen that have been integrated (even before the parade happened)

Well, we have never seen YJ-17 nor YJ-19 before 9.3 doesn’t mean they are not equipped by PLAN before.

A guess for a standard 52D loadout.

32 long range SAM
32 medium range SAM
4 ASW
8 AsuW
12 AsuW/LAM

I don't see having those 4 as compromising the ships priorities personally.

That weapon is fairly old, I remember seeing footage of it almost ten years ago.

It is slant launched from a standard YJ-83 canister, and can equip basically any YJ-83 equipped vessel (054As, 056As etc)

It's actually so old that they've offered it for export (specs here to keep in mind are likely export grade)

Do we know if there is a sub-launched version of this? Like the old US SUBROC but with conventional LWT instead of NDB. It could be useful for prosecuting long range submarine targets.
