I wonder which naval base is that taken at. I thought only a military personnel or military photographer could get from that arial shot.

Morning Guys (and gals)... Our daily dosage of PLAN Sovs today brings us a few shots of PLAN No.139 Ningbo firing a salvo of SAMs...

That's 3 pretty quick for their single arm launchers.

Nice sequence.

Looks like a fourth one was already up in launch position on that aft launcher too, so maybe it was a four missile salvo.

Could be the lighting, but those shtil missile's exhaust sure looks unappealing compared with modern HQ-16 exhaust.

Yup... the response from the missile storage down below to the missile launcher to ignition is fast.

Of course I wasn't implying a more modern missile inherently has a "cleaner" smoke trail, but HQ-16s definitely looks better.
