I hope these pix are not a re-post..Are we seeing a PLAN LCAC in the pix below???

I believe it most certainly is a PLAN version of an LCAC and that it is clearly meant for the Type 071, now with a hull number of 998. I look forward to seeing trial pics of the Type 071 with these air cushioned landing craft.

a photo of 693, one of the few 037s that actually installed VDS. There were also pictures of other 037s, but i didn't find much interest in them.

Awesome photo..I'm sure it will appear on Chinese boards World wide. Someday the shadowy CVN in the background may well be a PLAN CV. For now..all PLAN fans and China watchers will have to wait. Awesome pic!

INDIAN OCEAN (March 11, 2009) The aircraft Carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71), background, joins a multinational battle group formation including the People's Republic of China Navy multirole missile destroyer Guangzhou (DDG 168)and the Pakistan Navy frigate PNS Badr (D 184). Roosevelt, the guided-missile cruiser USS Lake Champlain (CG 57), and the U.S. Coast Guard high-endurance cutter Boutwell (WHEC 719) are among ships from seven other countries participating in the multinational naval exercise AMAN, an Urdu word meaning peace. AMAN 09 is a Pakistan Navy-hosted multi-lateral maritime exercise designed to develop and improve response to tactics, techniques, and procedures with a focus on the global war on terrorism. Lake Champlain and Boutwell are deployed as part of the Boxer Amphibious Readiness Group supporting Maritime Security Operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility. Question..Why does the PLAN have officers doing jobs assigned to enlisted men in other navies? Such as sonar tech, radar techs, plotting, data systems techs etc???
