The majority of these photos are not about the Chinese navy. Should we move this thread to the World Armed Forces forum?
No...it is about China's 1st invite and participation. All of this goes with that. The majority of these photos are not about the Chinese navy. Should we move this thread to the World Armed Forces forum?
I wasn't aware of india being geographically located in the Pacific Ocean!?!!
Anyhoo, was this the only ship that the indian Navy brought to RIMPAC or where others as well?
...
The Netherlands lost its last possession in the area half a century ago. This is now Irian Jaya, part of Indonesia. And The Netherlands might have the largest port in Europe, Rotterdam, but the Danish shipowner Maersk is very much larger than any Dutch shipowner. So is Denmark represented? The Netherlands, France and the UK are also not in the Pacific...but they have interests there...some possessions, others the needs for the Sea Lanes to remain open for resources. So they are invited too, like India.

As we get into the at-sea portion, there are going to be a LOT of PLAN photos...and we may even see some from the in-port portions (as we saw earlier today with the conference pictures) where we could see crews from Chinese vessels playing sports against crews from other nations.
So, we'll keep it here for now.

As I indicated a couple of weeks ago, the US leads with 29 vessels...and that's the way RIMPAC always has been and always will be.Denmark has sent observers only.
Here's the official list of participants.
