i think 960 is suppose to be a Type 903 ship
I thought Type 903 were pennant numbers were 886 and 887, and that pennant numbers 889 and 890 were Type 903A . I know that four more of those have been launched with two doing trials but I am not sure what their pennant numbers are.

I did think that the Type 094B ships built and launched so far were 960, 961, and 962, with two more buildings.

In total, OI thought 904, 904A, and 904A were:

Type 904
883

960, 963, 964, 965 Type 903A first in service for end of year NSF , 3 others for 2016, 2 for ESF the 4th ?

Maybe 2 replace old 905 have 35 years make sense.
The only 908 a Fedko class ( India have one also ) is the more big 37000 t but low only 16 kn max and don' t carry ammunitions as 905, 903 have.

Ok so 960 looks to be a under way replenishment tanker with the resupply cranes

Type 903A

The 904B units are resupply ships general stores no cranes present

So why 960 is listed as Type 904B? I need to see the rear and check if there is 3 or 4 openings?

If 4 it's Type 904 if 3 then Type 903 ? Need to get to the bottom of this

Nice one forbin it's confirmed then it's a Type 903A

A few websites have it wrong as does wiki

903A is a underway replenishment tanker
904A/B is a resupply ship which carrys stores

Two different roles two different ships

Why it's numbered 960 I have no idea just to confuse us !
