PLAN Fleet supply vessels

So to Summarise this is how it looks

2 x Type 903 in water
2 x Type 904 in the water
1 x Type 903 confirmed at HD and and now a another at GSI

That's 6 in construction/launched

That's in addition to commissioned 4 units

A milestone guys, they have reached double digits for Type 903/094 replenishment tankers

A few years all we had was the pair of 886 and 887

Wow that was fast

HD launched today the Type 903 replenishment ship

Ok so now we have the following

4 x Type 903 commissioned
2 x Type 903 in sea trials
1 x Type 903 launched

Plus
2 x Type 904 in sea trials/ launched

Plus so far one more Type 903 under construction at GSI

So we have now in total 9 x Type 903/Type 904 in the water

The 10th unit from GSI should also get launched soon

By the end of this run they will have
8 x Type 903 and 2 x Type 904

However that is IF they stop buildiing which is probably unlikely they production is in full pace and we could now see GSI start on the 40,000 ton tankers for carrier replenishment and HD do the Type 903

i would imagine they should stop Type 903 very soon and start on the larger AORs.

Not sure if this is a old picture but some say the 8th x Type 903 has been launched from GSI

But I don't know how they painted it so fast unless the last picture was revealed very late

Ok so to summarise the replenishment tankers so far

Now they have all 8 x Type 903A in the water and 2 x Type 904 also in the water

So now there is 10 x Type 903/904 in the sea

4 of the Type 903 are commissioned and 6 now in launched/sea trials

This is a very exciting time for replenishment tankers for PLAN

Add in the older tankers they could establish a tanker flotilla in each fleet
