They usually use mock ups at the start right? But it seems like the rear ramp door is down so who knows

Finally these 2 tankers are looking nearing completion

The two 903A replenishment ships are named 889 Taihu (太湖), from Guangzhou Shipyard, and 890 Chaohu (巢湖) from Hudong Shipyard.

ok so now the news is that two more Type 903A replenishment tankers are under construction great news!!!!

so that means we will soon have the two original Type 903 tankers

886 and 887

and we now have 889 and 890

then we will have 2 more to total 6 x Type 903/A tankers which is a great addition to Chinas ability to sail ships on far away operations

throw in 881, 882 and 885 thats 9 replenishment tankers 6 of which are frontline capable, not bad, biggest at sea replenishment fleet after USN

all good on the replenishment side but i would think they need alot more than just 4 x Type 903

in addition, i do not think China really has transfered, munitions, live rounds, warheads and ammunition on a scale that is required if war breaks out

transfering armaments is a key that PLAN needs to also learn, handling live rounds is not as easy as one thinks on a ship which pitchs and rolls on the sea, a dangerous task
