Holland stuff don't only have to appear in Holland :p

730 could have been based on the goalkeeper for all we know.

Got you. Next, I suppose it should not considering off topic:

Let's say, on the paper (black & white), is China "OK" to purchasing goalkeeper? For all we know there is this thing called "arms embargo" lying there.

1. Is it that certain euro country didn't participated the embargo, and Holland one of they?

2. Is it that certain stuff is not in the embargo list, and goalkeeper in one of them?

3. Is it Holland sold it to 3rd party and the 3rd party happy to sold to China with a fee?

4. China leased it, and embargo can kiss his as*?

5. China grabed it, with a gun pointing at Holland's head? (Or something in line with that - bully)

...

We really all know, this is worth talking about, by PLAN close in weapon's birth certification topic.

Dude, if you know how they do the "embargo", you won't say the "commercial market" thing.

In simple words, at 90s', Chinese govt can't even buy a pair of western handcuffs, embargo is just a good word of "blockade".

Okay I'm half serious. I think there are always back channels, Iran and NK can get some parts that they want.

Not suggesting china is in the same league as them but meh?

Hahahaha.... and they used to blame russians for "International weapons control"...good for the next topic of 007 movie.

Seriously, Iran or NK don't dare to claim they got this and this (only things we saw, are western biased reports) - they either have a not-so-good back channels (which can't expose under the sun light), or they truely don't have.

China, making it loud and clear, TV documentries, that "Hey everyone, I got goalkeepers!" - Let's say at least the "channel" is legal enough to be put under the sun light.

I am really thinking this "embargo" is depending on each individual (western) country's own will. France for one, in her demostration she is not NATO's chess piece, once openly sold many things (military grade conponents) to China.

Anyway, goalkeeper is indeed a good toy to play with at first place, hail to the Dutch!

Yes, Hollandse Signaalapparaten (HSA) was acquired by the then Thomson-CSF, now Thales, in 1990. It is not difficult to demonstrate the close ties between Thales and Chinese defense industry.

The EU arms embargo is pure fiction. Look for instance at the hundreds of Dauphin helicopters, locally known as Z-9, that fly in the Chinese armed services.
