We've had pictures of the J-15T/A/B/whatever we want to call it for a while... so I wouldnt' say it has only been "rumoured".

This is however the first time we've had a ground level photo of it attached to a catapult at Huangdicun.

Well, here goes the most formal report of PLAN's EMALS up to now. People's Daily On-line quoted Ma's words like below,
海军电磁专家马伟明曾表示，国产电磁弹射航母已经赢得了下一代弹射器竞争的胜利，很有可能提前问世。
"Our EMALS has won the competition. It may show itself before estimated."
