could someone translate the writing for our "non chinese friends", please ?

If you are referring to the chinese on the red banner, they basically say everyone should remember not to leak secrets.

well that tears it, it's definitely military in nature. guess we can finally safely say that it's some kind of lhd/carrier module!

Sorry for my layman question here... how to you guys tell which part of the ship was this module suppose to be. It might be the very front or part of a module that is 'thinnest' or 'thinner' overall. So when you see a depression (presumably for catapult) this might be at the very end of the catapult.

Dimensions of this toy (by google-maps):
Deck: ~ 44 m width,
Lift: ~ 15 m in lenght, ~ 10 m width
Height of Hangar: ~ 5 m

Dimensions of JL-15:
Length: 12.27 m, Wingspan: 9.48 m, Height: 4.81 m

hmmm

If you assume the door opening to be about 7 ft in height you can guesstimate the height of the 'hanger' bay. If it's 8 ft then it's defnitely 20ft or higher which should be adequate for a J-15.
Of course like many have speculated here, we just do not know which part of the module we're seeing. Is it toward the front. mid section or stern.
Like the QE class the height of the hanger varies from front, middle and back.

I would guess it is near the middle of the carrier like what's shown in sinsoldiers illustration, showing the side cat.

And btw I do not think this module is going to be part of a real carrier, it is most likely just for demonstration purpose, and may not even be the final layout.

Here are some CGs. I'm not sure how recent they are but it depicts the Liaoning with a catapult where you see it on that section. So if it is a Liaoning carrier copy plus, it might look something like this.

I concur. There is even a front door for VIP.

i noticed that too, but if you look downfield and behind the upright module, there seems to be other parts of the hull that have been set in place as if assembly is already in progress.

there is only one part of the carrier with elevator on one side and catapult on the other side. forward of the superstructure and behind the ski jump.
