Some confusion as to what it is. New target drone? New '3M-54 Klub' type anti-ship missile? Superman?

This necropost shows how a slant launched YJ-18 might have looked like. This is an early prototype of the missile. Note the canister. I can't be sure of the length of the missile. This might have been usable on a ship without using a VLS.

The first photos of what is believed to be the fourth variant of the YJ-18, as well as its twin-canister launcher, have been spotted. This variant is believed to be a VLS-borne, shore-based, anti-ship variant.

Hence, the YJ-18 is now believed to come in four variants:
- YJ-18: basic land attack variant
- YJ-18A: VLS-borne anti-ship variant
- YJ-18B: submarine-borne anti-ship variant
- YJ-18X: VLS-borne shore-based variant (photographed here)

The missile equips the 052D and will do likewise on the 055.

Third necropost rising from the dead shows what the eventual YJ-18 land based unit looks like. From here, it appears the slant based launching was abandoned, for a full vertical launch. I like to be able to compare the length of the land based YJ-12 and YJ-18 TELs.

Now I'm not so sure if these are YJ-18s, I think they're likely YJ-12s.

Erecting mechanism & vehicle might've changed from time to time, but the missile box looks almost exactly the same. Seeing that there has been no evidence of a land-based YJ-18 variant, it's highly probable that the 8-wheeler is a DF-12 vehicle.

These might be supports for a slant launch. The use of the same vehicle gives another estimate to the YJ-12 size, assuming if this is DF-20 TEL is used, since the DF-20 is 7.8 meters long.
