He didn't mention when the photo was taken. But he said he didn't plan/suppose to post the whole article including the newest released photo until Augest-28 to celebrate the second anniversary of 001A being put on the indoor berth. He only post them early because CJDBY will be shut down for at least a month.
And there is new post with information regarding 054B too. I'll do a short translation of what he said in the 054A thread. I guess he is "leaking" as much as possible the last few days while the server still up.
if i understand google's translation, it was said the current 054b project was once called 057 but then got changed and now it's more or less similar hull and similar displacement. (something new, called 057 will come some years later)

That's pretty much it, but shield means aegis shield style radar like the one on 052C/D.

We know the pic posted by zyun8288 is not 001A, I think he did it for us to compare the pics with the newest alleged 001A pic. Because we are debating about whether the new pic is actually a carrier or not. It's only for comparison.

He also mentioned that works in dry dock commenced in April this year, and expected the commissioning of the ship is around year 2020.

So.. the hanger deck modules might already built and ready to be integrated by now(Or already did), we just don't have updated photos of it.
Someone needs to befriend Elon Musk and convince him to send up a sat for the sole purpose of advancing china military watching.

Ok........we don't know what China's carrier ambitions are exactly......and we have possibly discussed this before, but with the recent news of the increase of numbers for the 052D (18 off), 054A (32 off), and 055 (8 off?) surface combatants.........what do members here, now think that we could be looking at as future carrier numbers, and the breakdown of their battle group?
