Whats interesting is that some of the Flankers were carrying the Gardeniya ECM pods. If the J-10A can beat the J-11A equipped with the ECM pods then that is a good sign for the J-10A.

And if so, the Rumors about initially the J-10B beating the Su-35 (without L-265M10-2) in BVR might be more than just a rumor.

Haven't read that yet. Any links regarding the J-10B beating the SU-35? That would be quite something if true.

No. Don't have the link(s) so take it with a mountain of salt. But, J-10B and especially the J-10C EW systems are said to be second only to that of the J-20. So I wouldn't be surprised if an Su-35 without Khibiny ECM pods got bettered in BVR by the J-10B.
