It's not FC-1, it's L-15. It's considered to be China's next big trainer export item. Also, it is probably more advanced in its field than any other Chinese planes have ever been.ahho said:

It would appear that way, but you have to look at the big picture. J-10 is already in service, so FC-1's specs are at best secondary in plaaf. L-15 has the advantage of the short liftoff distance and its payload is similar enough to FC-1 despite being a much smaller jet. Basically, L-15 can do a lot of what FC-1 can do, but has other usage too.
