This KD-21 is one-stage only or two-stage design?
Curious, it'll most probably fit into J-20 side bays.
Seeker is placed at the front, covered by the radome of the missile. Behind it are possibly more electronics for communication, guidance, onboard computing components for flight controls and hydraulics to action inputs for moving surfaces. Behind those is the warhead. This looks like warhead is detonated. Seeker looks burnt out.
I suspect missiles are also designed to trigger warhead or at least trigger a smaller internal process to fry all circuitry so that even upon recovery, it doesn't show much more than ... yep this is a phased array seeker using xyz components made from these material compositions. It would generally function like so* and so on.
