This video actually did tell what happed, red tried a suprise attack on blue with heli landing in rear and a IFV attack. The heli forces are surrended and destroyed after landing, the IFV attack end up with only 16 vehicles remaining and retreated.

Jeeeeeessssuuuuuuuussss! The way you guys are talking this up......I had such high hopes! This is what I saw. Tank stalling going up the smallest incline. Vehicles breaking down in the calmest conditions. Infantry moving in gaggle formation. Clean uniforms. Convoys moving in broad day light with no dispersion. Infantry assaulting across open country without rudimentary knowledge of infantry minor tactics. More clean uniforms. No one breaking a sweat. No sense of urgency. More vehicles moving with no dispersion, and no watching of arcs. No light discipline at night. Rudimentary concealment. More soldiers in gaggle formation. More clean uniforms. Basic fighting positions. Clearing some sort of berm like obstacles with diggers? What? Bridging across a freaking drain ditch! More freaking useless looking commanders posing for cameras in "command posts". More gaggle formation. They move like freaking recruits. This is like week 1 of infantry minor tactic stuff.

How many people here have served? Have you seen what soldiers look like in a real field ex? Have you seen what real war fighters look like? I'll fucking rack march these pansy looking soldiers till they die. I'll drill nothing but pairs fire till they move like they know what they're doing.

I'm actually pissed off. If this is the state of the PLA then nothing's changed except rhetoric.

I only hope that this is posing for the cameras and the real war fighters in the PLA are better operators. China deserves better than this. This is embarrassing. I'm embarrassed.

I think at this point you are just seeing what you want to see.

From those video footages, nothing can be actually discerned. Also, if you want to see a symmetric confrontational excercise between two equal Brigades, there are other PLA excercises like this - but Stride-2014 is not. It is about plunging the Redfor into a chaotic situation against an overwhelming enemy and see what happens.

If Redfor isnt moving as tactically and well choreographed as you want to see, you can blame Bluefor for tactically nuking the half of their motorpool.

Some more pictures. Interesting with those is the fact of seeing the PF-98s being used as shoulder launched AT weapons and not as before, used on a tripod. From the footages of the videos, it can be assumed that this large 120mm Rocket Launcher is now a squad-based weapon. Not bad.

Better, and less campy I presume. I've found the PLA change the way they operate sometimes, when there are cameras around, with various actions which are actually impractical but look what they believe to be "good" on camera
