PLA Strategy in a Taiwan Contingency

The commander of the Taiwanese navy admitted that the “main engine and power management system” and the “Integrated Platform Management System” (IPMS) not yet completed acceptance, so this submarine still cannot submerge.

Honestly, Taiwan's domestically developed submarine program is the most confusing project I've ever seen. The two Dutch Zwaardvis-class submarines in the Taiwanese navy's fleet are already 35 years old. With little experience operating modern submarines, no experience building submarines, no technical knowledge, and no independent production capabilities, they're being cobbled domestic submarine together from scratch, importing most subsystems. Even if they manage to build it, how effective could its stealth performance be?

Within the first island chain, the only USN vessels capable of threatening the PLAN are submarines, so the PLA is doubling down its resources on ASW. Using this junky hull against an ASW network designed to handle the most powerful submarines is pretty hopeless, isn't it? Taiwan Navy officials are not even aware of this or are deliberately concealing it, defending the project by saying that "each ship built will force the other side to invest ten times more resources to respond."

And the result? Even worse, hulls with uneven surfaces and subsystems that barely function, serious corruption exists at nearly every stage.. It's all just a desperate last stand.
By the way, the total budget for this prototype alone is NT$54 billion, or US$1.5 billion.

In light of recent news and with euthanistic responses from people within ROC, five companies involved in ROC cognitive warfare have been identified:

艺诚科技有限公司
大数软件有限公司
迪泰威科技有限公司
数位奇迹科技股份有限公司
思想科技有限公司

It should be noticed a recent talking point in both mainland and Taiwan has become: all these individuals and companies are well known to MSS and they don't require Taiwanese dobbing them in to identify. Rather this is an exercise for anti-separatist Taiwanese to make themselves known to the mainland government so they are on the protected list in the event of AR and treated preferentially after reunification.

Weather true or not, that story has begun to spread.

I'm familiar with Brilliant Pebbles, which is a LEO system. But the other guy specifically said not in LEO.
If cost was no issue then nike-x esq system with sprint missiles would tackle any nuclear threat. Basically hypersonic nuclear tipped point defense missiles that is aimed at hitting the rv seconds before impact. It would take a concentrated barrage to overwhelm such a system.

Since it's basically point blank range, it should remain potent against hypersonics glide vehicles.

The downside is maintaining an arsenal and launch facilities for probably tens of thousands of interceptors for 100% coverage.
