the thing is : PRC drag the issue too long and somehow still have "the west may accept me as equal if i do something benefit them"
like ....throwing your allied nation media under the bus on your own media app like this

who gonna want to support a "new world ruler" if that new guy have no balls to even openly favor his closest friend let alone offer military/economy/political protection ?

im speaking as pro-china/russia vietnamese here

I don't understand why you view TikTok as some extension of "China" as opposed to its own private company with its own interests. The West is a significant market for TikTok, so it is enacting policies that maintains that revenue source. It's not TikTok's fault that Russia is not rich or powerful enough to sway TikTok's business interests.

TikTok definitely acts more like a typical Western app than X, it also suspended an account associated with People's Daily previously, and seems to have shadow banned it despite reactivating it, and labels it "China state-controlled media" and don't do the same thing with any other Western media accounts.
