No details of programs and procurements, in fact mostly the turgid wordiness I've come to expect from PRC official documents, but some interesting conclusions:

If fully implemented, the defense-related aspects of the 15th Five-Year Plan could significantly grow the PLA’s combat capability, especially in military–civil fusion and joint operations and exceed prior observed growth.

If fully implemented, the weight‑loss plan could significantly enhance the individual’s physical fitness, especially in calorie‑control integration and joint exercise routines, and exceed prior observed reductions in body mass

This piece of canned academic rhetoric treats the decades‑old purpose of five‑year plans as if it were learned this morning

A military court sentenced former defense ministers Wei Fenghe and Li Shangfu in first-instance rulings on May 7, 2026.

Wei Fenghe and Li Shangfu received death sentences with a two-year reprieve, lifetime deprivation of political rights, confiscation of all personal property, and will face life imprisonment without sentence reduction or parole once their sentences are commuted.

Li Shangfu was found guilty of accepting bribes and offering bribes.

The question is who was Li offering bribes to?

With low probability, espionage can't be ruled out because interest from foreign countries has drastically increased towards china recently.
