It looks like the T97NSR-A:
However, in retrospect, the receiver holes do seem to be of a different pattern from that of the NSR-A.
If you see them with STANAG magazine then they're export variant, and if you see them sporting MIL-STD-1913 rail then those are aftermarket modkit and used by police SWAT or PAP special forces outfits.Are these actual PLA small arms? Because I could have sworn I saw a Canadian Type 97 in there.
Before we begin, let's say what kind of an arse would put the "rat tail" in that position?Sept. 17, 2016

Agreed That is leading to a presure tape meant to activate the light on as needed basis not a always on. Placing it on the grip is stupid 2 folr first now it's likely to be on all the time the weapon is gripped secon it blocks the travel of the charging handleBefore we begin, let's say what kind of an arse would put the "rat tail" in that position?
Looks like there may be a mechenisum for adjusting the stock in the opening of the stock.Now get back to the gun...
1. Hopefully the selector is either on both side or changeable at basic maintenance level, if so then I won't have too much complain there until further higher resolution pics points out more fatel flaws;
2. Stock seems non-folding but perhaps telescopic?
That fits you really don't need full length of rails most of them get covered on full Rails as they dig into the skin. This is also why Key Mod and M-Lok are gaining popularity.3. Short strips of rail on sides and below, and full-length on the tail;
I think rear flips to. all it needs is the peep to be up.4. Front sight is foldable, don't know about the rear one though.
That's the question.Lastly, don't know if this iteration is still in prototype stage or in final trial?
I don't think it's a straight evolution of the Type 03 because changes seems to be extensive enough to warrant it as a new design.Overall interesting mod of the 03, although I do wonder if it's an export variant.
If it is a PLA intended version, I would expect the rails to be a non-1913 compatible proprietary rail system uniquely selected by the PLA.
This is a terribad setup for the light switch; nothing should ever have a chance of interfering with the pistol grip hold. It should be on the Grip Pod (or Grip Pod knockoff) instead. Actually, the VFG is also a bad idea. An AFG with the light on the offhand side would be the ideal setup here IMO.Sept. 17, 2016
