Yeah looks like "Assault Hawk Commando" which makes absolutely no sense in the context of the English language. But if your botching a literal translation from another language, this (pardon the term) "Engrish" would likely be the result.
The more proper would probably have been Hunter Hawk Commando or Hunting Eagle Commando.

Sorry I know some will try to justify this thing but really I think the People behind it tried to reinvent the wheel but with flat sides.

The most humane police cartridge in the world! "no yaw, no expanding , no cavity….. and with a muzzle energy of less that some .22 LR loadings." hahaha

But it seems to work well enough in the recent train station drunken buffoon incident.

To safeguard this weapon of mass destruction, Shanghai police are required to keep their hand rested on the holster at all time during patrol, even though the gun is attached to the belt with a lanyard!

well at least they are carrying their firearms, that's an encouraging sign! when I worked in china, I lived in the outskirts of Dalian (45 mins away from Dalian) and the cops responsible for my area don't even carry their firearms. their guns are locked in the gun safe in the police station!

That's just crazy. The cops walking the streets who are supposely protecting the citizens have to call for help and backup themsleves when they run into criminals with guns or knifes?

Well, one could argue that the UK police are mostly not carrying a firearm on the beat as well...

In any case, that service revolver is clearly what one would call as something that cooked up by a committee and just to execute a set of criterias, despite however moronic that execution is - just think about it should you need the lethal firepower option but you're pre-loaded with 6 non-lethal rounds! Then there's the preception of your gun size in relation to intimidation against felons - the old Type 64 pistol with its small frame already proven not popular for the job - it's funny that such psychology still plays out in China...

In any case, that stupid revolver design has proven unpopular in China, but probably won't be any time soon to see it be replaced by anything else, alas the NP-22, the improved version of QSZ-92 designated for export market, is rumored to be in police trials.

If you ask me, the QSZ-92, despite its tendency to feed jam if cocked too hard (something the HK garrison soldier told me when they saw me cocked one all the way back like with Western-bloc designs), would be far better in the police service pistol role than that throwback garbage...as proven these days, if you need to deal with stopping power or overpenetration issues, you can always tweek with the ammounitions to get the desired result.
