They were opposed by the soviets and chinese so they must have done something right
It's getting off topic, but I might as well have some fun, regardless if you are trolling or not.
Well, Rhodesia basically committed suicide by making itself a pariah on the international stage thanks to its insistence on an openly white supremacist structure. And the Chinese and Soviets assisted by opposing. So clearly they got the suicide part right.
