This sort of supposed frugalness needs to stop. Not only will precision suffer tremendously but it is also bad for the barrel.
Maybe this is "basic" training to get used to recoil. Also China runs steel through everything without barrel problem. Slow firing sniper should wear barrel much slower than HMG.
Looking at Ukraine frugalness maybe isn't a problem. Lots of complaints about lack of ammo so one could hope cheaper leads bigger stockpile.
what's that muzzle device? looks too small to be a suppressor, but doesn't appear to be a flash hider/muzzle brake either.
It’s a muzzle cap to prevent damage to the muzzle and dirt from getting into the gun.
