If you look close enough, none of them use STANAG 4179 magazine, because STANAG 4179 doesn't have such prominent curve as those are. Likely scenario is that they were trying to incorporate design features that are within their manufacturing capabilities to manufacture, since by the 1980s certainly analogues of M-16 and STANAG 4179 were already on NORINCO export catalog.Seem like some of them use the 5.56mm STANAG mag.
I've heard the QBZ-95 development was following in Stoner's philosophy of being lightweight as possible, I wonder if that's why they experimented with STANAG style mags.
