Re: Chinese military photos

A helo rotor can sometimes move into extreme angels under certain flight conditions. In abrubt maneouvers / abnormal conditions a lot is possible.
But I guess it should generally work, and in near hover conditions, when the helo is actually hiding / looking, the blades won't be much in the way.
The german concept is to put the system on top of the mast (UH Tiger), the french, and the other customers, too, have those optics on the roof below the rotor. Vibrations in the mast may deteriorate image quality.

People's Liberation Army (PLA) recruits participate during a training session at a military base in Hefei, Anhui province December 23, 2008. China has prompted concern over its rising military spending in the United States and elsewhere, especially in Japan and in self-ruled Taiwan, which China claims as its own and has vowed to bring under mainland rule, by force if necessary.

Behind the 35mm grenade launcher there's another soldier wiping a really long weapon, what is that? Looks like some kind of anti-material rifle...

Re: Chinese military photos

the urban Camo Patten of the body armor and packs looks the same as the ones worn during the joint Indian Operation, the vests them selves look sort of like the US Marine Modular Tactical Vest but the early versions in that it's open around the kidneys. The US Vests closed this due too IED and Fragmentation wounds.
Also note that the Chinese Seem too have introduced the alterations too the Type 07 uniform as both the Blue Uniforms seen above and the Urban uniforms have shoulder Pockets the Joint operations uniforms have flat top opening style the blue one have slanted ones with Velcro Like the American ACU
also Note that only one of the troops has a telescopic sighted type 95 rifle.
