At 08:00 yesterday morning, thousands of officers and men of a mechanized infantry brigade of the Jinan Military Area Command marched northward in several columns from their barracks in the Central Plains and headed for the vast expanse of grassland in Inner Mongolia, kicking off "Libing-2008" confrontation exercise between opposing forces organized by the General Staff Headquarters of the PLA.

excellent pictures popeye. i especially like pics of PLA infantry and the gear they are using
