Is that what (blackhawk) I think it is? Are they the older models before the embargo on arms sell by the US?
Those are S-70C-2 helicopters that were built for the PRC. A deal was made for 24 helicopters in 1985, and they were delivered in 1987.

It was anticipated at the time that the PRC would buy quite a few more, but after the 1989 embargo that all stopped, including spare parts for the 24. Clearly, the PRC has gotten around that issue because they operate these helicopters to this day. They have had plenty of time to figure out what they need and how to build it, and they have the capacity to do so.

Over 4,000 Blackhawk helicopters have been delivered to 25 different countries.

man! those blackhawks sure looked to be in pristine condition given they are over 25 yrs old! and they don't look like hanger queens either. I'm sure China has pretty much refurbished them over the years but they still look amazingly good.
Maintenance is key to any military hardware!

As the saying goes if you take care of your equipment it will take care of you when you need it.

I forgot when it was but I think it was in the mid 2000s or so the ban was lifted on selling the Chinese spare parts for the blackhawks.

Gotta wonder whats in those back packs?.. they look far too happy to be carrying any real weight.

It's 3 mile rucksack run my guess it's probably simple items like extra boots, socks, cold and wet weather gear and uniforms and of course water. If you look closely her rucksack it seems to be smaller and carrying less items compare to the other guys.
