Though judging just by eyeballing the hull looks to me a lot narrower than T-14 and in the latter the 3 crewmen are sitting pretty much with very little elbow room.
I don't see how it makes sense to have a third crew with only two hatches. Quick entry/exit is essential.

The number of hatches doesn't necessarily have anything to do with crew count.

Tanks like Abrams, Leopard 2, and others have only two hatches in the turret but three crew in the turret (driver having their position in the front of the hull of course)

T14 of course has three crew and two hatches.

One question I have is wouldn’t having the sensor/camera at the very forward tip of the tank be prone to potential damage when crashing through trees or other obstacles?

I think the crewmen in the pictures all have some sort of black VR headset on their helmets, probably connected to the 360 cameras and LIDAR.

Well, they're definitely not the in the same class in terms of size. This post has a good comparison between the ZTZ-99A and the new tank in terms of size:

This is very similiar to the israel all around google, connected to 4-6 camera ,so the tank crews do not have to open there hatch in order observe the surrounding area
