Why would they fly a prototype like this near urban areas where there is danger of crashing and lots of potential photos taken of it?
Infrastructure are there for testing but it would be interesting to see if the city have outgrown past the testing site in the past 20 years ? Transferring the infrastructures/tooling workforces is probably difficult and with the urban growth we see, hard to find another site without the same risk to get bypassed by development.

That is most probably true, but they could have easily tested this elsewhere and at another time like at night if need be. They did have other prototypes no?

How does the PLA normally do disclosure/reveals?

I would be surprised if we don’t get blurry photos when it actually start doing high speed taxiing.

there is not particular reason why 6th gen would get significantly higher opsec than j20.

Wait 1 or 2 more weeks, I am sure there will be real photos coming out.

For j20, the photos just got progressively less blurry until Dec 30th when the photo was quite clear.
