I think the rifle itself is not a real article but an unofficial 3D printed model as well.

Yes, I should have made it clear that it's probably a prop. I hesitated because judging by other images from the account, the company does have access to real PLA and PAP firearms for some reason, maybe borrowed for demonstration or product development purposes. Just my speculation.

Hi sorry about my ignorance bit why do we call this kind of gun a carbine & what’s the difference between a normal gun & a carbineA fairly accurate model of the carbine variant.

a carbine is a short barrel version of a normal assault rifle.
The definitions are further complicated when some rifle features that previously described as carbine now become the normal one. The assault rifle version of QBZ-191 has the same barrel length as M4 "carbine" (14.5 inch) while the carbine version has the same length as MK18 CQBR (10.5 inch).

You can't compare across different rifle families. QBZ-191's carbine variant is called carbine because it has a shorter barrel than the full-length QBZ-191. M4 is called carbine because it has a shorter barrel compared to the regular M16. In other words, what makes a carbine a carbine isn't the absolute length of the barrel but its relative barrel length to that of another member of the same family.
