Though from machine translation the helmswoman's name is Xilintana ('Pearl of the Steppe' in Mongolian), from Inner Mongolia.
At the time of video being taken she was posted on the Type 054A Weifang.
From what I could make out from her interview, one has to score over 90% in practical and theory evaluations, with 90% being the passing grade (!), to be eligible for the helmsman post.
