The submarines are not any kind of alien technology and they are not captained by hot-headed people. There are many reasons for being forced to surface, a look at the previous posts would make that clear to you.
While I am not sure of the details for this particular incident (if it even happened), I wouldn't make such grandiose statements like there is zero chance that a submarine could be forced to surface.
Submarines follow the law of physics and their Captains, I am sure, know the implications of what it means to be pinged by the sonar 24/7

Hell would probably freeze over before a USN SSN Captain surfaces due to "sonar pressure" in peacetime. Or the captain of ANY SSN, regardless of nationality, for that matter.
Those rumors - especially as brought forward - are a complete and utter fabrication, something pretty evident to anyone that understands even in a rudimentary degree the specifics at hand.
