Oh wow :mad:, what a nasty tactic to use the sea to hide submarines ... No other navy can be as immoral as China's PLAN.

Dead wrong there, Deino. Other navy such as the US, UK nuclear subs, have hidden in the sea literally for years and have done so decades ago! Now you turn around and label China's PLAN as immoral, you are so blatantly biased. They say what is good for the goose is good for the gender. Now have a taste of your own medicine!!

I, for one, think davidau's reply is hilarious. This is a textbook example of what we call "正儿八经地胡说八道" in Chinese. It means: "uttering hilarious nonsense in solemn seriousness."

Yes Deino meant to be sarcasm to those brainless reporter and no way meant to denigrate China. Deino is one of the few analyst who know what is he talking about . He has no bias

There are some rules in journalism and one of them would be that the opposite of what you say would not make sense. So if you write "China uses land to hide its submarines or China uses the air to hide its submarines" or even "China submarines sail in full view" would be so stupid.

A Taiwanese cargo ship 「友泰一號」 has collided with a PLAN vessel last night(July 31st)
Suspected to be either a guided missile frigate or a Type 071 龙虎山(980)

The PLAN vessel has attempted to bring the Taiwanese ship to Xiamen but the Taiwanese ship refused. Citing they will resolve this through legal means.
Later Taiwanese patrol boats contacted the damaged PLAN ship and asked to search the ship, the request was also refused. Citing the ship is damaged and need to dock soon.

A second news article claims it's likely a coast guard ship.

Seems much more believable.

It's worth noting this was published earlier than the other article, so the information might be outdated. But the other article contains some pretty dramatized language so I doubt how true it is.
