My guess is the equipment would still be usable with the grease on it.

No these type of grease are more like protection from rust instead of smoothing the mechanics of metal parts like in motor oil. A breech canon has to be taken apart, clean, and applied grease if they are no longer in use. Of course there are various other methods as well depending on the time, terrain, and type of mission of the breech.

But the equipments will be stick with lots of dust and sand with the grease.

That and along with possible fire.

This will be the second such China-Russia naval exercise this year.

Russian pacific fleet as host is also reportedly sending 20 surface combatants and support ships and 2 submarines, giving a grand total of 27 ships and 2 subs for the joint exercise. Not to mention the number of helicopters, aircraft, amphibious vehicles, and marines will also be participating from both countries.

As I understand it, the seven vessels include:

DDG-115 Shenyang Type 051C Guided-missile destroyer
DDG-138 Taizhou Chinese Sovremenny Guided-missile destroyer
FFG-547 LinyiType 054A Guided-missile frigate
FFG-568 Hungyang Type 054A Guided-missile frigate
LPD-989 Changbai Shan Typ 071 Landing Platform Dock
LST-997 Yun Wu Shan Type 072A Landing Ship
AOR-889 Taihu Type 903A Replenishment Tanker

That's a very nice, joint force surface group.

The Seven PLAN task group led by destroyer 'Shenyang' has arrived at the Vladivostok naval base today for Naval Cooperation 2015 II. Udaloy destroyer, Marshal Shaposhnikov, met the surface detachment and accompanied them to the docking site with pilotage services.

Chinese sailors were met by representatives of the Russian navy command of the Pacific, with Vice-Admiral Alexander Fedotenkov and deputy commander of the Chinese Navy Rear Admiral Wang Hai emphasizing that the upcoming naval exercises will be the most ambitious in the modern history of cooperation between the two navies, and will not be directed against other states during a presentation.

The main objectives of the exercise will be improving the organization to conduct joint operations at sea, on land and in the air. During the active phase of the naval maneuvers from 24th to 27th August sailors will work out issues of practical organization of joint anti-sabotage, anti-submarine, anti-aircraft and anti-ship defence.

In addition, the sailors will spend shooting various types of surface, underwater and air targets. The culmination of the exercise will be a joint amphibious and airborne assault on the range clerk in the Southern Primorye. The joint Russian and Chinese landing of Marines in Russia will be a first.

The joint exercise will involve 22 ships and support vessels, 20 aircraft and helicopters, more than 500 troops of marines and 40 units of equipment from both sides. The exercises will be completed by August 28th, concluding with a sea parade and a farewell ceremony in the Gulf of Peter the Great.
