Just found a close-up picture of the PL-12 here:

What are the brown bands highlighted in red? Proximity fuse sensors?

I've never seen anything like that on a missile before. Perhaps it's testing equipemnt? Is that missile being carried by a J-8 test-bed?

I have. The green band on the side of the R-60 body in the attached pic is a proximity fuse sensor (sorry for the off topic picture)
