A case for hybrid tanks and fighting vehicles for future. I wonder when will we start seeing hybrid electric vehicles in the PLA.
Full EV solutions are too heavy and big.
Hybrid EV solutions are smaller and lighter than the current pure diesel powertrains. Also they would have other benefits like higher acceleration, lower fuel use, better serviceability.

Electric has several advantages like more torque and more silent running. But yeah the lack of energy density in batteries is a major problem.
There were tanks in WW2 with electric drive. Like the German Porsche Tiger, Elefant, and Maus. But the use of copper in wartime production was deemed too expensive. And the performance was kind of lackluster.

CCTV7 program on PAP Special Warfare training, includes footage of flying 3D printed drones for recon and potential kamikaze attack, as well as using anti-drone EW guns to disable enemy drones. Apparently the DJI model used as a target returns to its original release point when it loses communication with the controller? Would expose the operator's position if they don't respond fast and relocate. Also includes training footage with a shotgun, crossbow, sniper rifle, and MANPADS.
Could also use it as bait to lure the other side to an ambush.
Didn't think PLA will go for the 120mm mortar that isn't self propelled , but it does make sense for high mobility light unit like the light BCT
