To be honest this kinda sucks... every soldier would like to have a nice, hot meal after an entire day of tiring work in cold, harsh environments. I'd be pissed if my dinner only constituted of an energy pack lol. BTW has the standard MRE of the PLA improved already or are they still terrible like the one tested on YouTube?

Except they do have hot meals constantly? At no point do they not have those and I'm not even talking about MREs but actually pot cooked meals. There is plenty of post here that shows it and more recently there was another showing a new kitchen that was fielded. To be honest this kinda sucks... every soldier would like to have a nice, hot meal after an entire day of tiring work in cold, harsh environments. Speaking of this does China have vehicles similar to the M3 Amphibious Rig??I saw this but don't know where to put it. But I just thought amazing. I know other countries got this as well. But it's great to know China is amongst them.
I know that the PLA has field kitchens and field heaters but I'm talking about MREs and field rations for troops under combat situations where mobile kitchens and even fresh food are not available ex. a small group of soldiers manning an observation outpost somewhere remote or special forces fighting behind enemy lines. It's similar to how US Marines who are out on combat missions in rural Afghanistan have to rely on MRE too because they can't carry a field heater around let alone a field kitchen. As for the bad MRE I remember watching a major MRE-tasting YouTube channel who didn't like the PLA MRE. But in the end being able to eat hot meals is still much much better than only having a cold energy pack.Except they do have hot meals constantly?
