Nope your are the one who tried to frame an opinion as a credible evidence to the point of ignoring credible research done that I have presented (don't think I have forgotten), only too backtrack when you got caught out. That's what you assumed. If it was my conclusion, I wouldn't have brought my friend's father would I? You're the one that was upset at someone's opinion. That's a fact and now you're trying to make it was never an opinion. And it's still a fact that a Vietnam veteran's opinion outweighs you never being in Vietnam.

The North Vietnamese won the war because they have the means and support from both China and Russia. The USA supported the corrupt and inept South Vietnamese government and ARVN troops that didn't have what it takes to win the hearts and minds of the majority of the Vietnamese people to join them in their cause. As a result the war became a terrible war of attrition for the US and their South Vietnamese government ally. Your father's friend's opinion about the Vietnam war does NOT equate to history.

Look fellas ALL MRE's or rations taste basically the same. YES I have tried the US MRE's before and ALL of the flavors (meaning the main course not including the small packets of coffee, chewing gum, crackers, matches, cute little Tabasco sauce bottle,etc.). It's full of calories and not very appetizing unless you're really hungry.
