S-400 purchase by China has been talked about for some time now, not unlike the Su-35 stories. Of the two I'd personally put much more stock in a potential S-400 purchase, but here again China has made a great deal of progress with it's own local systems, so it may not be needed.
Interestingly the Indian MOD over the last couple of weeks has confirmed intent to purchase S-400, saying negotiations are underway with a possible signing in December (take with grain of salt as reporting on Indian military deals tends to be optimistic). This would make a lot of sense given India does not have the kind of local technology to produce long-rage pulse motors, seekers and radar arrays.
I would love to know how deals like this affect the China-Russia & India-Russia relationship and the conversations that take place. How does it choose what to sell and to whom from a strategic perspective... or is free market and all about the $?
