I just realize the parade hq20 has 8 missle while this one has 12 is this a different missle or a different configuration or just the missle transporter vehicle View attachment 171115View attachment 171114
Assuming both are HQ-20, this would be great because it allows HQ-20 SAM to have the same magazine depth as PAC-3 MSE at 12 interceptors per launcher vehicle. But I can't be sure if that's a fair comparison since the role of HQ-20 is still unknown, although some have speculated it to be a PAC-3 MSE analogue/in role

Have we confirmed that both are HQ-20?
The launch canister for the publically displayed HQ-20 seems to have a flatter end while the other one looks a bit curved/domed. Indicating different launch mechanisms.

so likely not the same imo.

Looks similar to a Weishi MLRS.

There was a similar system to SLAMRAAM known as LS-2/Hunter 2 which featured a surface launched variants of PL-9 & PL-12 Although it never progressed beyond being an exhibition model, it likely served as a foundation for the sky dragon 50 jointly developed by AVIC and NORINCO. the Sky Dragon series has since evolved into a layered air defense system (ranging from VSHORAD to LRAD) that is primarily derived from A2A missiles technology.

Could the recently introduced Sky Dragon 100 be another A2A-derived SAM?
