Last year Shilao said the biggest incursion, the one on October 4th with something like 40 J-16 were almost certainly including spoofed phantom planes. You couldn't even operationally fit that many aircraft into the area safely:
Generally you will see H-6 in pairs, they are likely H-6U tankers. What's the role for a single H-6 in these strike waves? C&C?
If true, then more evidence that ROCAF that are been overwhelmed and can't match up to PLAAF.Here's something interesting:
Supposedly a PLAAF UAV overflying the land mass of Dong Yin Island, a ROC controlled Fujian province island.
Supposedly yesterday, PLAAF fighter penetrated airspace (not ADIZ) of Pratas Island. ROCAF issue warning via radio telling the aircraft to turn around (in which the word "领空" or airspace was in fact used) but the pilot answered back "I am conducting usual mission, do not interfare".
Both from SET, which is pan green and I would not consider it a reliable source of news. Doing some search via google and I find:
Since the second news would be pretty big with PLAAF aircraft entering ROC airspace people went to contact ROC MND and they said the aircraft did not in fact enter ROC airspace.
On the one hand we have a TV station known to be unreliable, but on the other hand if PLAAF did enter ROC airspace and ROCAF couldn't do anything about it the MND would have motivation to play it down, so I don't know, use your judgement.
