Maybe I misunderstand this post, but what J-7 unit within the STC - and if I'm not mistaken called “铁翼云鹰” ("Iron Wing Cloud Eagle") - is still active? The last J-7 unit within the STC was IMO the 132nd AB at Xiangyun but didn't the get J-10A already?
A topside DSI wind tunnel and simulation model illustrations from an academic paper. Could be related to the J-36, but also possible to be related to other warplane types (e.g. UCAVs).
