I don't see how people could see levity in this. This is unprofessional, dangerous, unnecessarily escalatory,
Tom Cruise: I was inverted.
Americans: Oh my God, he's so cool, so slicky, so edgy; his skill is legendary!
Chinese pilots rolls over an American plane.
Americans: That's unprofessional and dangerous! Are you crazy? CCP lunatics!!
It drove the enemy back and unnerved them without causing unintentional damage. It is extremely professional and skillfull. Western nations attempting to antagonize China around its territory put themselves in potential danger through unnecessary escalation. But they don't care about the safety of their pilots or possible consequences in their drunken desperation to maintain a fading Anglo hegemony.
Fun fact: "Unprofessional" as used by Americans to describe Chinese flying really means that they didn't like being harrassed while trying to harrass someone else but don't know what to do about it either. Someone who was truly unprofessional in flying would have poor control of his aircraft and be unable to execute any of these moves.
and just goes to show that the CCP doesn't really care about international norms or the safety of its pilots in its pursuit of regional hegemony
Did you have to imagine an accident to spin this as if China screwed up? Cus in reality, our pilots are back safely. International norms written to benefit Western nations are due to be rewritten.
