A pilot can have emergency beacon radio and colour smoke sticks in his survivor kit to guide a rescue helicopter homing onto him.
yes, but you still need visual anyway, especially in the water
plus, this works exactly the same if in the hostle territory, enemy can also see it too...
so the best strategy to hide oneself from enemy was to get ride of the pilot suit asap...

A press blurb about Shenyang's AI tactical combat simulator. It basically says that the team has designed a highly efficient architecture that can support very large scale parallel operations, enabling thousands of simultaneous simulated engagements. The result is that the time required to produce new combat algorithms is reduced to a month.

This quite interesting coming from USAF on China's ability in electromagnetic spectrum.
“That was a time of de-emphasis of electronic warfare, electronic attack, electronic defense, maneuvering in the electromagnetic spectrum,” Hinote said. “They studied us. … They studied many of you and your work, and they did their best to come up with ways of countering what you were doing in the electromagnetic spectrum.”
Today, as a result, China can send pulses from their radars “that are different every time,” Hinote said. “Yes—that’s happening right now.”
The Chinese became so good at electromagnetic spectrum warfare in the interim that today “they absolutely believe that [EMS] superiority is a prerequisite for victory,” Hinote said, suggesting that denying China use of the spectrum could be enough to deter it from fighting. “Maybe it’s enough that we deny the use of the electromagnetic spectrum to China,” he said, by filling “the airwaves with electromagnetic energy to the point where you could walk on it. … To make it so difficult to operate in the electromagnetic spectrum that it’s mutually denied space.”

More on this topic, I think this just to show how impressive the EW suite on J-16 is. I would imagine most of the interactions/intels that USAF received is through Taiwanese/Japanese interactions with J-16s.

While U.S. skills in EMS atrophied during its long counterinsurgency fights in Southwest Asia, China matched and surpassed them. So said Lt. Gen. S. Clinton Hinote, deputy chief of staff for strategy, integration, and requirements—USAF’s “futurist”—in a December speech to the Association of Old Crows.
Today, as a result, China can send pulses from their radars “that are different every time,” Hinote said. “Yes—that’s happening right now.”

Like the “no man’s land” between the opposing trenches in World War I, the spectrum would be a region where neither side has superiority or advantage. “Gum it up so much that China is fearful of their ability to operate in that area,” Hinote said.

Hinote emphasized that the Chinese air force is already “at parity … in key areas” with the capabilities of the U.S. Air Force, and in a few “important areas we’re behind, tonight,” although he didn’t offer specifics.
“China continues to move its modernization timelines left at a rate that is outpacing” the U.S., Brown said in his conference address. “We must move with a sense of urgency today in order to rise to the challenges of tomorrow, because the return to strategic competition is one of our nation’s greatest challenges.”
Already, the Air Force faces the risk of not being able to achieve air superiority in a fight with China, a prospect commander of Air Combat Command Gen. Mark D. Kelly warned would be disastrous. The American way of war assumes control of the air, he said, and the other armed forces depend on that. He called for a national response on the scale of the Manhattan Project to restore a formidable lead over China in air combat capability.

Sounds like Mr Hinote read the book

, a science fiction by Liu Cixin.

There are two versions of the pretty much same story. In one version it took place in Russia while the other in China. Baidu, as expected, only shows the Russian version:

Translation by Google except that the spaceship name “万年风雪” is in Pinyin:

"This is a huge and tragic story. Sometime in the 21st century, NATO, led by the United States, launched an all-out attack on Russia. In the brutal homeland defense battle, the torrent of tanks of the Russian army was still unable to resist the attack of the NATO army supported by high-tech electronically guided weapons, and it was retreating steadily. The only way is to create an electromagnetic interference that blocks all electronic frequency bands, causing the electronic instruments of both sides to fail at the same time, and pulling back the balance of the electronic warfare field of both sides. As a result, Russian astronaut Misha, the son of Marshal Levsenko, the commander of the Russian army, drove the "Wannian Fengxue" spacecraft into the sun, causing a huge magnetic storm, causing all communications on Earth to be interrupted. Humanity returned to the era before Marconi, and the soldiers of the two armies fought again in the most primitive way..."

FC-31 has two engines, not one. Also, it has trapezoidal wings, not swept wings.

We are talking about the aircraft I circled in green right?

I think it's pretty obvious it is FC-31V1, and not dark sword?

Where are the canards, for one.
And the planform is entirely just that of FC-31V1?
And there are two engines as well, not one engine?
